Category 1: “Clean Water”

  • Can degrade into Category 3

Category 3: “Black Water”

This water is unsanitary and can cause serious illness or death. Category 3 may include water from flooding rivers, water from beyond the toilet trap, water from the toilet bowl (with feces) and from standing water that has microbial growth.
